Over the past two years, Project Help Zambia has been working with the Hero's School at Matero Orphanage in Lusaka to equip its children with the necessary tools to succeed. By supplying them with proper desks and workbooks, we aim to allow the children attending to receive a high-quality education. In addition, we have also been able to provide locally crafted beds, mattresses, and soccer balls for the orphanage.
The Yosefe Girls Club aims to equip girls at the Yosefe Primary School in Mfuwe with the confidence to succeed. Through the learning of important life skills, such as communication and literacy, this club aims to allow girls to continue their education past the elementary level. Many girls drop of of school after their preliminary education due to embarrassment surrounding menstruation and a lack of hygiene materials. This prevents the girls from attending school after the early years. Project Help Zambia aims to eliminate these barriers.
Project Help Zambia has launched a tutoring program for Zambian children to aid in their advancement of English literacy and elementary skills. Our group of volunteers aim to support children throughout their primary schooling and equip them with the tools to succeed. We have also raised money for supplies needed by children attending school, ranging from pencils and beds to home health and sanitary products!
By working with the Time + Tide Foundation, we have been able to expand the outreach of our work in the South Luangwa. We have been able to help primary schools in rural settings and aid in student support programs. By partnering with small businesses, we have also been able to sustainably create supplies for children in need whilst giving back to the locals!
